I am Joy Johnson. I have been awesomely blessed to be a first year in the EECS MS/PhD program. I came straight to Cambridge after completing my undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University in May of 2007.
When I am not in class, lab, or studying for quals I am somewhere volunteering or teaching with kids. I taught in MIT’s SEED (Saturday Engineering Enrichment and Discovery) Academy last semester and I continue to volunteer with high school girls in Roxbury and Dorchester through my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc.
I am enjoying all of the new research, new opportunities, and new people here at MIT and trying to take full advantage of them all.
