"Fall Beautiful"
[posted by ttulabandhula on 2009-10-26 02:13:57]

I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2003 with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. After graduating, I wanted to experience a job in industry, so I moved out to San Francisco and started working for Google in Silicon Valley.

After a few years of working as a Software Engineer in industry, I went on leave from a pretty fantastic job to get back to research and solving ambiguous problems. I came to MIT because this seemed like a flexible, dynamic place where I could pretty much do whatever I wanted, but with a group of amazing people who are working on innovative ideas.

As a first year, I’m still not 100% sure what I’ll end up working on, but right now I’m enjoying taking classes and working on the existing research projects in my group. I miss the sunshine and wine in California, but I enjoy getting to know Boston, and the T can’t be beat.
